pineapples!

This is so true!
Pineapples are a girl's best friend, fruit actually according to tumblr. Now I know why.

Pineapples are not just pretty, but are healthy too.

The Benefits of pineapples

Pineapples are a good source of Vitamin C, which helps your immune system. Vitamin C is required for the collagen synthesis in the body. Collagen is the main structural protein in the body required for maintaining the integrity of blood vessels, skin, organs, and bones. Vitamin C keeps you healthy. Its gives the little soldiers in your body power to fight against sickness, so to sum it up it keeps you healthy. Vitamin C prevents coughs and colds. Pineapples are fat free and high in sugar. More or less 89g sugar per pineapple. Remember this is natural sugar and not human made custom sugar. This means sugars in fruit and sweets aren't the same thing. Natural sugar are good for you, but remember too many of anything are not good for your body. The best time to eat fruit is in the morning or during the day, but not at night. During the day you need energy. Energy comes from sugar. Natural sugar have a low GI while custom sugar doesn't. If you eat fruit at night you don't use all the energy that came from the pineapples. Your body stores unused energy as fat. This is one of the method to gain a bit weight unless you go for a intense workout like jumping rope that burn all the kilojoules. Pineapples contains bromelian, an enzyme that helps for arthritis pain by easing inflammation. Bromelian also digest food by breaking down protein. Pineapples are rich in dietary fibre like pectin and contains no saturated fat and cholesterol.

Interesting facts:
  1. This isn't a myth. Historically, Hawaii are the world's largest producers of pineapples.
  2. Christopher Columbus discovered pineapples in 1493 in the Caribbean.
  3. A pineapple is the result of many flowers whose fruit lets have joined around the core.
  4. For a juicer and softer pineapple as result, keep it for 1 or 2 days at room temperature before cutting.
  5. Pineapples strengthen your bones and keeps your gums healthy. (good source of calcium)
  6. Pineapples are basically fat free 1,1g fat per pineapple.
  7. Fresh pineapples are low in calories.
Pineapples are tasty fresh, but if you are not a big fan try it in smoothies.
After I did all of my research, I will definitely eat more pineapples. Will you?
